Local Nonprofit’s Fundraiser Goes Virtual This Month
The silent auction will feature leisure and luxury items, such as spa experiences, art pieces, wine tastings, and restaurant packages as well as products and services from local businesses in the community. Online bidding will start on January 17th and conclude on January 24th. Special auction items will be only auctioned during the livestream on January 24th. Executive Director Ericka Plater and restaurateur Mickey Bakst, the founder of Feed the Need, will co-host the event.
In lieu of tickets, participants can purchase brunch kits from locally-owned Baguette Magic to enjoy, which will include a choice of entrée, side, pastry and a drink for pick up or delivery.
“The auction is our most critical fundraiser of the year,” Plater said. “This year in particular, the number of people in need has increased dramatically. Funds from this event will ensure we can keep our doors open to continue helping individuals and families hit hard by the effects of COVID. We pride ourselves on being a place of hope, healing and help, and our community needs us now more than ever.”
