On Friday, January 22nd, Landing Contemporary Art will host “That ’70s Art Show” at the Harbour Club at WestEdge from 5 pm to 8 pm. The themed pop-up event will feature art and local goods.

For one night only, guests will be able to travel back in time to the era of peace, love, and flower power. Put on your grooviest outfit and stroll under the disco ball to hit records while savoring specialty cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

Immerse yourself in the psychedelic aesthetics of the 1960s and ’70s and enjoy portraits of some of Studio 54’s most famous attendees. The artwork for sale, provided by Landing Contemporary Art, will boost your mood and have you feeling the vibes of the era. Featured artists include Joan Aglaia, Alison Underwood, Olivia D’Orazi, and Chelsea Hart, who are all known for their colorful aesthetics.

In addition to the psychedelic paintings and photographs, local vendors Beau & Ro, Woven Script, and Banana Banana will have booths with goods inspired by the ’60s and ’70s. Beau & Ro, by Sara Rossi is a handbag, clothing, and accessories company, which recently opened a new store in Towne Center in Mount Pleasant. Woven Script is a Charleston-based textile design and fiber arts studio, helmed by Kaitlin Unsworth. Their booth will feature macrame art made using eco-friendly materials sourced from other independent artists. Banana Banana is a local embroidery studio run by Hannah Shook featuring hand-embroidered shirts as well as colorful masks and accessories.

This event is free and open to the public with no RSVP required. Safety measures include social distancing and mask-wearing, and hand sanitizer will be available throughout the venue.
