Amor Healing Kitchen Announces Community and Guest Chef Cooking Class Series
Charleston nonprofit AMOR Healing Kitchen, which provides healthy meals cooked by teen chefs for locals facing serious health challenges, this week announced its Community and Guest Chef Series Cooking Classes.
AMOR’s 2021 Plant Powered Education Initiative is to increase education as to the benefits of whole – plant based foods while inspiring people to get in the kitchen and learn how to cook using simple techniques and seasonal and affordable ingredients.
“We love to inspire people with food and empower them to take charge of what they nourish their bodies with,” AMOR Healing Kitchen Founder and Executive Director Maria Kelly said. “Our Community Classes allow access to cooking classes regardless of income level, while our Guest Chef Series provides a fundraising opportunity to bring healing meals to Charleston residents with severe health issues.”
Community Cooking Classes take place on the 3rd Monday of each month from 6 pm to 8 pm via Zoom and led by Justin Booher, AMOR’s Culinary Director.
This is an interactive experience where the participants receive the recipe the week prior to class in order to purchase ingredients and have the opportunity to interact with the Chef and ask questions.
