Motown Throwdown to Play the Charleston Music Hall This Month
Motown Throwdown, the local soul band known for spanning the genres of funk, soul, pop, rock, R&B, and jazz, will perform at the Charleston Music Hall on Friday, February 26th at 8 pm.
This outfit of local heavyweights has established itself as a leader in the Charleston music scene, beginning with their long time residency at the Charleston Pour House. The 5-piece consists of singer Kanika Moore, saxophonist and vocalist Mike Quinn, guitarist Dave Grimm, Stuart White on the drums, and Corey Stephens on bass.
Guests can expect an energetic performance with ripping solos, soulful vocals, and catchy, synchronized melodies on top of a thick, relentless funk driven core.
The doors will open at 7 pm and the show will start at 8 pm. The venue capacity is set at 250 people with socially distanced reserved seating. Masks are required to be worn at all times unless actively eating or drinking.
