Dorchester Road Library Staff Member Tests Positive for COVID-19, Branch Temporarily Closed

The Dorchester Road Library is temporarily closed following a staff member testing positive for COVID-19. The book drops/materials return at the branch is also closed during this time.
Per CCPL’s response protocols, the library is being cleaned and sanitized by a certified third-party contractor. Once cleaning is complete, the branch will reopen for in-person services. The branch is anticipated to reopen tomorrow (Saturday, February 13th).
All employees known to have come into contact with COVID positive individuals are being notified and self-quarantine guidelines are being followed. CCPL continues to work with DHEC, and follow CDC guidelines, to ensure that all best practices are implemented in their service models to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and protect their staff and patrons.
