Beginning today, The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center has lowered the eligible age for COVID-19 vaccination to 50-years-old and older. Enrolled, eligible Veterans in the Charleston area can schedule appointments at the new North Charleston VA Outpatient Clinic located at 6450 Rivers Ave.

The new 75,000 sq. ft. facility is scheduled to open this summer at full capability, but is currently being used as a vaccination clinic to meet the demands of Veterans requesting the vaccination.

Veterans who are eligible for the vaccine under this expanded age category should call 843-789-6900 to schedule an appointment.  The appointment line will be available Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.

Veterans who have already been contacted by the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center and have a scheduled COVID-19 vaccine appointment, should keep the date and time of that appointment at the location scheduled.

For more information about vaccine eligibility and administration at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center visit www.charleston.va.gov.  For Veterans who are not currently enrolled in the VA, call the eligibility office at 843-789-7008, or visit the eligibility website https://www.charleston.va.gov/patients/eligibility.asp
