Study: South Carolina has the Country’s 3rd Most Reckless Drivers
CarInsuranceComparison.com recently released its study on the 10 States with the Most Reckless Drivers and South Carolina ranked as having the 3rd worst in the country.
The team analyzed data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the U.S. Census Bureau to find the states with the most reckless driving fatal crashes. A quick look at what we found:
- South Carolina is 3rd among the states with the most reckless drivers
- The state sees 12.78 reckless driving fatal crashes per 100,000 residents
- Speeding causes 63% of its overall reckless driving fatal crashes
- Wyoming is the state with the most reckless drivers, seeing 17.11 reckless driving fatal crashes per 100,000 residents
- Rollovers cause 55% of its total reckless driving fatal accidents
- New Mexico was 2nd in the rankings
- New Mexico sees 14.12 reckless driving fatal crashes per 100,000 residents. Speeding causes 44% of its overall reckless driving fatal crashes.
