Crews Continue Nighttime Paving at Maybank Highway and River Road Intersection

Charleston County Public Works will continue nighttime paving at the Maybank Highway and River Road intersection. Construction will take place from 8 pm to 6 am beginning Sunday, April 18th through Wednesday, April 21st.

Drivers can expect lane shifts and possible brief lane closures. If a lane is closed, there will be crews directing traffic safely through the closure. Vehicles will have access to travel in all directions during paving. Please use caution when traveling through a construction site. All work is weather permitting.

The completion of the Maybank Highway at River Road Intersection Improvements project will increase the flow of traffic at this critical junction on Johns Island.
