HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones” is Looking for “Charleston’s Beautiful People”
A local casting agency is currently accepting submissions for those interested in working as paid extras on the second season of The Righteous Gemstones, a HBO show starring Danny McBride, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, and Adam DeVine. The agency says the production is seeking “Charleston’s beautiful people” to film on both May 19th and 20th.
Tona B. Dahlquist Casting provided the following details:
- Extras should be aged late 20s to 40s
- Men and women
- “Hip & Sexy, Successfull and Polished, L.A. Chic, Attractive Influencers types”
- The production needs diverse mix of people to portray “younger high end investors and their guests”
- You MUST be available on BOTH dates
- Be sure to let the casting company know if you have a very high end/expensive luxury vehicle
Submissions should be sent to TRG2extras@gmail.com with heading “5/19 & 5/20 HIP YOUNGER INVESTORS.” You also asked to include: Two Current Cellphone photos (close up & full length), Name, Phone number, Age, City/State you reside, Height/Weight, Clothing Sizes (to include shoe size), Color/Make/Model/Year of the vehicle you drive, Description of any visible tattoos & piercings.

The Righteous Gemstones, is a half-hour comedy series created by McBride, who wrote, directed, executive produced, and acted in the show. The entire first season was filmed in the Charleston area. The series tells the story of the world famous Gemstone televangelist family, which has a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work, all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
