Published

on

The Woodlands Nature Reserve announced today that it will celebrate spring flowers and summer sunsets with live music in the woods. The outdoor property invites you to join them on Saturdays, starting May 1st, for sunset, live music, and arts.

Attendees can enjoy early evening access to the reserve for a lakeside sunset and a stroll. Guests should bring their blankets and a picnic, their bikes and kayaks, and leashed dogs. Masks are recommended when exiting vehicles. Concessions with hot and cold eats, popcorn, and soft drinks, are available. Beer onsite will be provided by House of Brews.

The new series is kicking off with Charleston native Jordan Igoe in concert. She is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist that has been playing professionally for over ten years as a solo performer, and with a rotating lineup of backup musicians around Charleston and regionally in the Southeast.

In addition to live music, guests can also watch live glass blowing with Autumn’s Heady Glass. See glass being molded and shaped right before your eyes. Other creative artists will appear each week in tandem with the music.

Here’s a look at the schedule:

  • Gates open at 5 pm
  • Music from 6 pm to 8 pm
  • Sunset at 7:30 pm

Tickets are $20 per vehicle online and at the gate. The series is included with any overnight experience. Advance purchase or electronic payments preferred at at https://www.woodlandsnaturereserve.com.

Overnight options include staying in a cozy and stylish Zun tent cabin, the comfort of Casita Annie, or pitching your own tent at a primitive campsite. All sites include lake views and a day pass to enjoy the trails and lakes on Sunday. RV electrical hookup sites also available in Bailey’s Field.

Groovy Bloom Music Series continues through June with more acts to be announced. Check out https://www.woodlandsnaturereserve.com for music and date updates.
