Ma’am Saab Encourages Charleston to Honor The Women in Their Lives
Ma’am Saab’s tenure at Workshop is drawing to a close on May 31st, although excitement for what’s to come at its new location opening this summer at 251 Meeting St. is at an all time high. Ma’am Saab’s new interactive window display encourages Charleston visitors and locals alike to write a message of gratitude for the “Ma’am Saab,” meaning “Boss Lady” in their lives – a woman who inspires through her hard work, talent, and selflessness.
Co-Owners Raheel Gauba and Maryam Ghazvani will be giving away some hot new items from their newly-released merch line (like t-shirts, leggings, beach towels and more) to a selection of individuals who write a name on their window display, take a selfie, and then post to Instagram tagging @Ma’amSaabChs and #myBossLady.
The window installation features polaroids of Ma’am Saab’s Butter Chicken entreé and a Ma’am Saab Sampler, with text in the Pakistani language- Urdu meaning “licking the window is prohibited” and “maintain distance otherwise you might fall in love.”
Ma’am Saab is currently open at Workshop Tue.- Wed. 4-8 pm, Thurs. 4-9 pm, Fri.- Sat. 12-9 pm and Sun. 12-7 pm, with new specials announced weekly.
