BCLS and American Red Cross Palmetto Region, Collaborate to Bring FREE Zoom Emergency Preparedness Training
Berkeley County Library System and American Red Cross Palmetto Region are offering FREE Zoom Emergency Preparedness Training at 6:30 pm on May 18th, 25th, and 27th and June 15th, 22th, and 24th. You can visit the BCLS Calendar for program details and the Zoom link.
The following programs will be offered:
- Prepare with Pedro (Kindergarten – 2nd Grade) – A 30-45 minute virtual preparedness program for students that follows Pedro the Penguin and his friends as they learn how to be prepared and take action during an emergency.
- The Pillowcase Project Presentations (3rd-5th Grade) – A 40-60 minute virtual presentation that covers local hazards, coping skills and personal and family preparedness through a “Learn, Practice, Share” framework.
- Be Red Cross Ready – The virtual presentation is designed to teach people how to prepare for and respond appropriately to disasters likely to occur in their community such as hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, tornadoes, etc.
