To speak in person at the Council meeting, citizens have until 5 p.m. to sign up at the meeting location.

To participate virtually, all comments and requests to speak during the meeting (via Zoom or telephone) must be received by noon, Monday, May 24th. To do so, citizens may use one of the following methods:

  • Leave a voicemail at 843-579- 6313. If requesting to speak, please provide a name and telephone number;
  • Complete the form at http://innovate.charleston-sc.gov/comments/.
  • Mail comments to: Clerk of Council, 80 Broad Street, Charleston, SC 29401

City of Charleston Clerk of Council Jennifer Cook said, “As City Council met virtually over the past year, we found that citizens were at times more engaged than ever. It is clear there is a desire for citizens to be able to watch meetings online and submit public comment through alternate means, and we intend to carry this practice forward, even as Covid-19 restrictions are lifted and Council meetings resume in person.”
