Woodlands Nature Reserve Has Big Weekend Planned
The Woodlands Nature Reserve will celebrate a packed weekend with live music in the woods. Get all the details below.
Friday, June 5th – Martin Sexton at FESTY Charleston
National touring artist Martin Sexton performs live on the FESTY stage. The singer-songwriter has released nine studio albums blending soul, gospel, country, rock, blues, and R&B.
Opening for Sexton is Charleston-based singer-songwriter Molly Durnin. Molly’s songs draw from the heart of Americana – a hint of country, slightly bluesy, yet every song is uniquely hers.
FESTY Charleston is a podded music experience at the Woodlands Nature Reserve. This event is BYOB, so bring your coolers with your go-to food and beverage, picnic blankets, tables, and your favorite camp chairs for your pod. Tickets are available now, for 2-, 4-, or 6-person pods.
Gates open at 5 pm, music kicks off at 7 pm with Molly Durnin, followed by Martin Sexton.
Saturday, June 5th – Groovy Green Music Series
Selby & Darby of Easy Honey will be in concert at the Groovy Green Music Series. Enjoy early evening access to the reserve for a lakeside sunset and a stroll, lawn games, and art projects. Bring your blankets and a picnic, your bikes and kayaks, and your favorite people. Dogs on leash welcome.
Descending from the Appalachian Mountains to Charleston, Easy Honey infuses its psychedelic-folk roots with East-coast surf rock. The band has supported national acts such as Cowboy Mouth and Boy Named Banjo, sold out multiple hometown venues, and earned a spot at Into the Woods Festival in fall of 2019.
Bring your camp chairs, picnic blankets, coolers, fun lights, and lawn toys. Concessions are available with hot and cold eats, and soft drinks.
Gates open at 5 pm
Music 6 pm – 8 pm
Sunset 7:30 pm
Tickets are $5 per person online in advance and $10 per person at the gate.

Each artist will be offering their art pieces as they create, while others will be sharing their knowledge through workshops. To cap it all off, there will be a Live Sunset Soundscaping Set by Dj Moldybrain & Friends starting at 7 pm. Artcelium Fest is BYOB, so bring your coolers with favorite food and drinks, picnic blankets, and camp chairs.
