Cannabis Products: What People Are Buying

Published

on

Cannabis dispensaries are popping up in every corner of the USA. Competition is fierce and customers have a wide variety of options to choose from. So how do you make your dispensary stand out? Having the right products to sell is one of the most important decisions to make for your company.

The answer: carry products that sell! You can’t go wrong by offering an assortment of these best-selling products that appeal to everyone.

  1. Cannabis Flower

Marijuana flower is the most popular product that cannabis dispensaries will sell.

When you are looking for wholesale cannabis flower, find out what the trends in the market are. Also, find out what strains appeal to your customers. In some cases, you can do this using an in-store poll – or an online poll if you’re on social media.

Various strains exist, and each has its own unique terpene profile and effects. Some strains are energizing, some are calming and others will stimulate your appetite – others offer a combination of multiple effects.

Our advice? Go to small grow ops for your flower. These operations usually have a more personal touch to them, and they also have access to some of the rarer strains.

Some small-time growers like to experiment, too. This could mean they have unique strains they developed on their own.

Regardless, it’s also a good idea to have your shelves stocked full of options for flower. Customers love seeing and experiencing various strains, so appealing to that desire could set you apart from the rest.

  1. Edibles

Edibles are a popular product of choice for both patients and adult recreational cannabis consumers. There’s just something about eating good food and drink, with tasty beverages to catch a buzz that’s taking the world by storm.

Edibles are easy to consume, and they’re discreet. Eat or drink the product gradually, you’ll feel the effects.

But which edibles are worth carrying? That all depends on the retailer.

The most popular edible product on the market? Gummies, for sure! They’re a fun take on cannabis since they remind us of our youth. We all remember the gummy vitamins – some of us are still eating them!

But edibles can take on various forms.

Try polling your customers to figure out what they want. Or offer multiple types of edibles from several brands to see which sells the fastest. This will ensure you know how much interest there you buy a wholesale lot.

  1. Extracts

Cannabis concentrates are ideal for many people. This stuff is potent, can be added to flower to enhance the experience, and goes great in vaporizers.

Some shops offer extracts. But providing various options is the way to go if you’re looking to appeal to the younger crowd.

Older people generally prefer traditional methods of consumption. For instance, a glass pipe or bong, some flower, and rolling papers usually sit beside their rolling trays. But if you have a younger crowd coming in, you might want to have plenty of extract options.

Look for high-grade “sauce” made by craft extractors. This stuff sells out lightning fast, especially to young consumers.

But keep in mind, there’s also a market of low to mid-grade extracts. Keep an assortment of high-grade, mid-grade, and, yes, even low-grade extracts in stock. And offer various vaporizers that work with concentrates, too!

Our favorite is the Volcano. But less expensive options exist, of course.

You may be wondering what products you should stock in your store. The best-selling adult-use and medical marijuana products are constantly changing, which makes it difficult to predict what will sell well at any given time.

The best advice? Ask. Ask your customers about their preferences. Then, act on those answers.

Sprinkle in a few cool products to test and you’re good to do!

Stay up to date on the latest trends and most innovative products to keep your dispensary stocked full of incredible products that fly out of your inventory.
