The Whale, A Craft Beer Shop, will Open Downtown this Summer

Published

on

This summer, Asheville natives Jesse Van Note and Andrew Ross will bring their popular beer collective, The Whale, to downtown Charleston. Opening in August at The Refinery at 1640 Meeting Street, The Whale is an establishment that will serve beers sourced from around the world alongside some unique wines, ciders, mead, Saki, and non-alcoholic options. They will also have a rotating lineup of food trucks onsite.

The owners say they will offer rare and highly sought-after beers, otherwise known as “Whales,” as well as classic staples that have been forgotten throughout time. Van Note and Ross hand pick each beer at The Whale, focusing on premium quality and unique history.

Charleston will be the third location for Van Note and Ross, who opened The Whale in Asheville, NC in 2017 and in Greenville, SC in 2019.
