Emily Curtis Releases New Music Video Filmed at South Battery Mansion

Published

Local singer, songwriter, and musician (and friend of the podcast) Emily Curtis on Friday released the music video for her latest single, “Sandcastles.” You can watch the full video below.

The video was filmed on the Isle of Palms and at 20 South Battery, a downtown Charleston mansion that doubles as an eleven-room boutique hotel.

The mansion was built in 1848 and served as a meeting place for governors from the North and South after the Civil War. In 1920, the Preservation Society of Charleston was founded inside the home by Susan Pringle Frost. Dr. Jack Schaeffer bought the mansion in 2018 and restored it.
