The Park Cafe to Reopen as Park & Grove
Popular neighborhood restaurant, The Park Cafe, today announced they will be reopening as Park & Grove, a seasonal eatery still open for lunch and brunch, but now with a primary focus on dinner. The eatery will be closed from July 12th to 24th for updates to their interiors, and will reopen on Wednesday, August 4th as the new concept.
Chef Ramon Taimanglo, former Executive Chef at Peninsula Grill, was recently tabbed to lead the kitchen, while food and beverage industry veteran Samson Kohanski was simultaneously announced as General Manager.
Reps for Park & Grove said the menu will change with the seasons and will “reflect the abundance from local fields, farms, and waters.”
“Restaurants are living, breathing entities that need to grow and the pandemic helped shed light on our team’s hopes and aspirations for future evolution,” said Park & Grove Owner Karalee Nielsen Fallert. “Guests of Park & Grove can expect the same convivial atmosphere, sense of community and amazing food that they have come to know and love at The Park Cafe, but now can return to 730 Rutledge for a wildly delicious dinner they will long to return for again and again.”
Chef Taimanglo said his menu will “blend the classic with the inventive, and will reflect what’s fresh and at its peak in the particular moment.” New dishes are expected to include homemade Bucatini with pesto and pork jowl, Grilled Hanger Steak and Braised Beef Short Ribs, as well as items like Short Rib Hash, Smoked Salmon and Avocado Toast, and Stuffed French Toast for weekend brunch.
Kohanski developed a new cocktail menu for Park & Grove, one that also moves with the seasons. It will reportedly focus on vintage spirits, like the Horchata with sherry, rum, spices, and coconut.
Park & Grove will be open Tuesday-Thursday 11 am to 10 pm, Friday from 11 am to 11 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 11 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 2:30 pm.
Brunch will be served Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 2:30 pm and Happy Hour will be served Tuesday-Friday from 5 pm to 6 pm. Park & Grove will also be available for booking private events ranging from bridal brunches and family reunions to rehearsal dinners and graduation parties.
