The Blood Connection, Red Lobster Partner to Encourage Blood Donations

Amid what The Blood Connection calls “a critical blood shortage,” the company is partnering with Red Lobster to hold blood drives at select locations in South Carolina and North Carolina on Friday, July 16th. All blood donors will receive a $20 Red Lobster gift card.

The local Red Lobsters in West Ashley (2080 Sam Rittenburg Blvd.) and North Charleston (2460 Mall Drive) are participating. Each location will be accepting donors from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Donors are encouraged to make an appointment here.

The Blood Connection says the current blood shortage is “putting a strain on local hospitals, after several weeks of historically low donor turnout.”
