Surf Bar on Folly Beach is Closed…But For How Long?

Surf Bar on Folly Beach has closed – this according to several (now) former employees. Reports of the bar’s closure were first posted to local food and beverage Facebook groups on Wednesday. It’s unclear if the bar is closed for good or indefinitely. Attempts to reach Surf Bar’s owners for comment have been unsuccessful.
According to posts on the Chucktown F&B Collective page, employees were notified of the closure yesterday. Someone in the group also posted a photo (right) of Surf Bar’s front door, which had a “Business Closed” sign taped to it.
One patron set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the former employees.
