Forte Jazz Lounge to Host Porto Seguro featuring Alva Anderson

On Thursday, July 29th, Forte Jazz Lounge will present Porto Seguro featuring Alva Anderson at 7 pm and 9:30 pm. Porto Seguro plays Brazilian choro and bossa nova on flute, mandolin, guitar and bass. Anderson is a Jazz vocalist and violist. 

Porto Seguro’s members met through their connections with the Hungry Monk Music Studio in West Ashley but, it was not until they began working together that they discovered three had attended the New England Conservatory in Boston. Each member hails from a different home town and each has developed quite a different resume.
