Canadian Jazz Guitarist Jocelyn Gould Coming To Charleston
Forte Jazz Lounge hosts Canadian jazz guitarist Jocelyn Gould and the Jackson Evans Trio for a celebration of women in jazz on Thursday, August 12th at 7 pm and 9:30 pm.Gould has appeared with some of the finest musicians in the industry such as Grammy nominated vocalist Freddy Cole, trumpeter Etienne Charles, and DownBeat Rising Star trombonist Michael Dease. She is also the 1st place winner of the Wilson Centre International Jazz Guitar competition (2018) and her new recording, “Elegant Traveler,” has been nominated for “Jazz Album of the Year” at the 50th JUNO’s – Canada’s major music awards.
