Charleston Carriage Companies Voluntarily Closing This Afternoon Due to Heat
The Charleston Carriage Association for Responsible Equine Safety (Charleston C.A.R.E.S.) announced today that their member companies will be closed this afternoon due to today’s expected high temperatures. For the safety of their animals and employees, C.A.R.E.S. members will stop sending tours out after 12 pm today and remain closed throughout the afternoon.
Charleston C.A.R.E.S. is made up of the three carriage companies: Charleston Carriage Works, Old South Carriage Company, and Palmetto Carriage Works. Established in 2017, Charleston C.A.R.E.S.’ mission is to advocate for the highest levels of equine care in the nation.
