Leading Steel Pannist Jonathan Scales To Perform at Forte Jazz Lounge in September

Forte Jazz Lounge will soon present one of the nation’s leading steel pannist percussionists, Jonathan Scales and his Fourchestra ensemble, on September 15th from 7 pm to 10 pm. The evening will be hosted by Charleston’s own Brett Belanger Trio.

Scales was selected as a cultural ambassador by the U.S. State Department with tours in Asia and Africa. His “joyously inventive” (Jazz Times) style is featured on his latest album, PILLAR, that claimed the #5 spot for Jazz on iTunes.
