Press Release

Kiawah River, a new waterfront community near Charleston, S.C. and the region’s first agrihood, announced Delpino Custom Homes, John Wieland Homes and Holy City Construction as the latest homebuilders to join its Builders Guild, an elite team of homebuilders renowned for quality, coastal craftsmanship and unparalleled customer service.

“Kiawah River’s new homebuilders join an elite group of craftsmen who are experts in high-quality construction and who share our commitment to architectural integrity, sustainability and personalization,” said Chris Drury, Kiawah River’s Broker in Charge. “We are excited to work with the Builders Guild to continue providing a diverse selection of homes that cater to the growing demand for new construction in a waterfront community.”

Built by Delpino Custom Homes and designed by architect Julia Starr Sanford, the two-story Beech plan features three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and a two-car garage, totaling 2,910 square feet. John Wieland Homes’ Starling, Mallard and Chickadee single family homes range from 2,200-2,800 square feet with three and four bedrooms, in addition to their three-bedroom townhomes ranging from 2,700-2900 square feet. Holy City Construction’s custom estate homes average 3,700 square feet.

To achieve their vision of simple sophistication and sustainability while embracing the architectural traditions of coastal South Carolina, the leaders at Kiawah River paired its Builders Guild with nationally acclaimed architects, interior designers and landscape architects from further afield who have designed a clean, refreshing take on coastal homes and amenity buildings

In addition to the new homebuilders, Kiawah River’s Builders Guild also includes JacksonBuilt Custom Homes, Level Building Projects, Structures Building Company/SBC Homes, Saussy Burbank, Kittrell II, Dolphin Architects & Builders, Artisan Homes, New Leaf Builders and Phillip Smith General Contracting.

Kiawah River offers a diverse variety of homes starting at $800,000 and homesites starting at $200,000. The community has been carefully planned to embrace outdoor living, with only half of the property’s 2,000 acres being developed, and the remaining 1,000 acres preserved as open green space for the community.
