Charleston Friends of the Library’s Fall Sale Begins Next Week
Looking for your next read and a way to support your local library? Load up on great books by shopping and supporting your library at the Charleston Friends of the Library’s (CFOL) next Branch Book Sale on James Island.
The sale runs from Thursday, September 9th to Saturday, September 11th at the Baxter-Patrick Library Branch (1858 Grimball Rd.). Here’s the schedule:
- Thursday (Exclusive Member Event) – 4 pm to 6 pm
- Friday and Saturday – 9 am to 4 pm
The Branch Book Sales include mysteries, romances, classics, children’s books, local histories, cookbooks, and a variety of non-fiction topics with prices starting at $1 for pocket paperbacks and $4 for hardback books.
“We are excited to be at the new Baxter-Patrick Library to host our fall branch book sale,” said Nulani Bennett, Operations Manager. “This is our first branch sale on James Island and we hope that every book lover will find their next read while searching through hundreds of fiction, non-fiction, children’s, and much more!”
You can directly support the CFOL by becoming a member, making a donation, or signing up to volunteer on their website charlestonlibraryfriends.org. CFOL is a non-profit volunteer organization that advocates through financial support, and time to help fund library services, equipment, training, materials, and public programming. CFOL collects and sorts donated books for resale to raise money.
Masks are required while entering the Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) Baxter-Patrick Branch. Masks are also required in all Charleston County Public Libraries.
