Schedule Changes to Charleston County Convenience Centers
Starting Sunday, October 3rd, 2021, all Charleston County Environmental Management staffed Convenience Centers will be closed on Sundays. Convenience Centers will now have extended hours on Wednesdays beginning October 6, with each site open from 7:30 am to 6 pm.
These changes put Charleston County in line with neighboring counties, who do not operate convenience centers on Sundays. The measure will also reduce overtime costs and vehicle wear and tear.
The following Convenience Centers will operate Monday through Saturday from 7:30 am to 6 pm:
- Bees Ferry Convenience Center
- Awendaw Convenience Center
- Edisto Convenience Center
- Hollywood Convenience Center
- McClellanville Convenience Center
- Wadmalaw Convenience Center
- Adams Run Convenience Center
The Signal Point Road Convenience Center schedule will remain the same: Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm.
Charleston County residents must be prepared to provide proof of residency whenever utilizing Convenience Centers. Attendants will accept a photo ID, driver’s license or passport. Residents can also show a utility or tax bill with a Charleston County address in addition to a photo ID. A reminder that commercial businesses and contractors are prohibited from using the Convenience Centers.
