Moranz Entertainment Celebrates ‘The Glory of Gershwin’ for 3 Shows at Forte Jazz Lounge
Brad and Jennifer Moranz will present “The Glory of Gershwin,” a 90-minute musical celebration of the songs of George and Ira Gershwin, at Forte Jazz Lounge. Performances will be held at 2 pm and 7 pm on Friday, October 1st, and 2 pm on Saturday, October 2nd.
“The Glory of Gershwin” follows the Gershwins’ musical achievements from their beginnings on Tin Pan Alley to their work on Broadway and Hollywood musicals. Of course, no tribute would be complete without highlighting their greatest achievement, “Porgy and Bess,” which was written right here in Charleston.
Starring an all-professional cast from Broadway and beyond, the show features such classics as “I Got Rhythm,” “Embraceable You,” “Our Love is Here to Stay,” “Strike Up the Band,” “S’Wonderful / Rhapsody in Blue,” and more.

Laurie Williamson, who has appeared on Broadway in “Wonderful Town,” “Ragtime,” and “King David” as well as starring as the principal soloist in “”The Music of the Night: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber”
Omar Lopez-Cepero, who recently played the role of Emilio Estefan in “On Your Feet” at The Muny in St. Louis and The Starlight in Kansas City. He also has appeared on Broadway in “American Idiot” and in the national tour of “Evita,” playing the role of Che
Arianna Cepero-Rosario, who has appeared on Broadway in “Cats,” “In the Heights” at the Kennedy Center, and on TV in “West Side Story” directed by Steven Spielberg. Also, catch Cepero-Rosario in December in the CW’s made-for-TV movie “The Waltons’ Homecoming”
Brad Moranz, who performed on Broadway in “Singin’ in the Rain,” “A Day in Hollywood, A Night in the Ukraine,” and off Broadway in “Little Shop of Horrors,” and national tours of “A Chorus Line” and “Me and My Girl”
Jennifer Moranz, former Radio City Rockette and Broadway performer in “42nd Street” and in the national tour of “Singin’ in the Rain”
Damon McToy, who appeared in the international tour of “Sister Act”, in the premiere of “Treasure Island: The Musical,” “The Preacher’s Wife” musical, and as a lead vocalist in shows on the high seas for multiple cruise ship companies
Angela Walker, mostly recently seen on Broadway in “Rocktopia” and overall talent winner in 2006 Miss South Carolina
Michael Minor, singer and ventriloquist who has been featured on international cruise ships
Tiffany Parker, featured singer on international cruise ships who now lives in Charleston and can be seen regularly in Moranz Entertainment productions
