Mount Pleasant Towne Centre Kicks of the Halloween Season with the Annual Fall Festival on Oct. 30

Fall is officially here and to celebrate the season, Mount Pleasant Towne Centre invites all ghouls, ghosts, and pets in disguise to kick off the festivities at the annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 30th. Families and their pets can enjoy the nicer weather and compete in this year’s Pet Costume Contest, groove to live music under The Oaks, pose for a caricature portrait, or enjoy balloon animals and trick-or-treat for delicious surprises.

Jim “The Critic” Voight from 105.5 The Bridge will be emceeing events throughout the afternoon. Additionally, live music featuring Rotie Salley and Sloane & Brennan, students from Bach to Rock Mount Pleasant; and a dance performance featuring Peace Love Hip Hop will be onsite providing lively performances for the community.

Beginning at noon, pet lovers can register their furry friends for the Pet Costume Contest presented by Hairy Winston Pet Boutique. Registration is $10 per pet and categories include Best Duo, Most Topical/Trending, Best Homemade Costume, Best Inanimate Object and Funniest Costume. All proceeds will directly benefit the Charleston Animal Society. At 2 pm, guests can take their seats under The Oaks and enjoy a friendly competition with great prizes on the line.

Additionally, various arts and crafts tables will be available around the Towne Centre including caricature artists, balloon animals, glitter tattoos, and Fairy Hair, colorful hair extensions designed to fit all hair types. Trick or treating stations will also be available and kids can strut their costumes and fill their bags with delicious candy all afternoon. Sips and bites from participating restaurants including Burtons Grill, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Zimo’s Gyros, Holy City Homemade Italian Ice, New Dog Hot Dog, King of Pops, Holy City Popcorn, cookie.dough.love and Patagonian Queen Gluten Free.
