Friends of the Library to Host Pint Night at Rusty Bull
Love books? Love beer? Love books and beer? Then you’ll likely want to celebrate National Friends of the Library Week (Oct. 17-23) by quenching your thirst with a brew or two with two local organizations. For every pint sold at Rusty Bull Brewing Co. on Wednesday, October 20th from 4 pm to 8 pm, $1 will be donated back to the Charleston Friends of the Library (CFOL).
“Stop by to learn more about CFOL and how over the past 38 years we have been advocating for Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) through financial support and spreading information about library services,” said Nulani Bennett, CFOL Operations Manager. “During Friends week, each new member that signs up at Rusty Bull will receive a special gift!”
The Friends will be spending the week of October 17-23, 2021 celebrating the 16th annual celebration of National Friends of Libraries Week. CFOL was established in 1984 and have raised over $1 million for CCPL to date.
Currently over 300 community members contribute annually to the Friends, and nearly 40 of these contributors actively volunteer their time to assist the group with preparing for all book sales fundraising efforts that include the annual That BIG Book Sale and the multiple branch book sales held throughout the year.
Rusty Bull Brewing Co. is located at 3005 W. Montague Ave., Ste. 110, in North Charleston.
