NP STRATEGY EXPANDS (AGAIN!) IN SOUTH CAROLINA
Strategic communications firm NP Strategy marches forward with a trend of rapid growth across the Carolinas adding most recently, Kaitlyn (“Kait”) Park (right) to the team. Park is an experienced digital media specialist who most recently served as the lead analyst at the University of South Carolina’s Social Media Insights Lab.
“Kait’s extensive digital and social analytics expertise will take our digital/social media services to the next level for clients,” said Heather (Hoopes) Matthews, NP Strategy CEO. “Kait knows how to both find the deep level information, and then also appropriately use it in relevant, engaging content strategies. In our rapidly changing digital environment, we need to constantly refine and enhance our client digital services.”
As the founding manager and lead analyst of USC’s Social Media Insights Lab, Park helped enhance the university’s research efforts and raised its profile as a thought-leader in social media analytics. Under her leadership, the lab became a profitable entity with clients in agencies, nonprofits and university communications, and developed partnerships with South Carolina print and broadcast media, USC’s Rule of Law Collaborative, Al Jazeera Journalism Review and UNESCO.
“Social media listening and analysis are like putting your fingertip to the pulse on what is happening in the digital space,” says Park. “I’m excited to join the NP Strategy team and provide the firm’s clients a better understanding of the way people feel and react to the information that is shared with them. This will not only make us better communicators, but will help us build comprehensive strategic approaches to sharing messages based on trust and empathy.”
Park’s career began at South Carolina’s PBS affiliate SCETV as a content specialist and digital analyst. In that role, she developed initiatives to illustrate the importance of analytics in the digital space and drive strategy across television, radio and podcasts. These strategies and programs were selected for a special session at PBS Tech Con.
Park graduated from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication with a major in Public Relations, a minor in English and a certificate from the flagship New Media Institute. She is a member of Columbia’s COR and serves as a temporary board member for Columbia’s American Marketing Association chapter.
Park will initially work in NP Strategy’s Columbia office and then transition to the Charleston office by the end of the year.
