Charleston Beer Week to Host Inaugural Hop Chef Competition
Featuring Charleston’s top culinary talent alongside local and regional craft breweries, chefs will cook with booze to craft a signature dish incorporating their partnered brewery’s beer. This year’s lineup of teams include:
- Sycamore with Indaco
- Southern Barrel with Cherrywood BBQ & Ale House
- Commonhouse with Rebel Taqueria
- New Belgium with Hall’s Signature Events
- Columbia Craft with 2Nixons
- Estuary with CudaCo
- Wild Leap with Tobin’s Market
A celebrity panel of judges – Parker Milner (Post & Courier), Brandon Plyler (Edmund’s Oast), and Brannon Florie (Florie’s Dining Group) – will crown a winner in addition to the crowd’s ‘People’s Champ.’ Tickets are still available for purchase online ($70 including tax with the option to donate either $5 or $10 to the event’s nonprofit partner, Little Chef Big Chef by Louie’s Kids.)
