Charleston Wine + Food is returning in March, and tickets go on sale this Thursday, October 21st at 11 am. The 2022 festival marks the 16th anniversary of the organization.

Event organizers says this year’s event includes programming that is “reflective of input from the community, from the legions of talented professionals who participate, and from the culture of today’s food and beverage world.” This year’s schedule of ticketed events includes over 100 experiences, including Signature Dinners featuring a collaboration between top out-of-town talent with local chefs + restaurants; excursions rooted in educational storytelling; hands-on cooking classes highlighting Pakistani, Gullah Geechee, and Mexican cuisines, among other popular subjects; beverage workshops featuring wine, beer, and spirit tastings; and more.

New this year (with descriptions by event organizers):

  • Opening Night will take place at The Cistern located on the beautiful campus of College of Charleston for the first time in the festival’s history. This event kicks off five flavorful days with over 20 of Charleston’s esteemed culinary talent and the State’s most distinguished chef ambassadors. This year’s event will also feature live music by Motown Throwdown.
  • Pinot Envy! is a past festival fan-favorite event which will return in ‘22. The event, located at The Lawn at Embassy Suites on the harbor in Mt. Pleasant, will feature an array of wines made with the versatile pinot grape.
  • The Culinary Village (which will have a ticketed Lawn and a free-to-the-public Pavilion) expands to the City of North Charleston’s Riverfront Park, with more room to roam. Ticket prices remain at 2020 levels: $135 for Friday and Saturday, and special locals-only discounted $95 tickets on Sunday.
  • NightCap will re-animate the Village space for two evenings, featuring nationally headlining acts, food trucks, and an opportunity to expand the festival’s long-held love of live music as the perfect accompaniment to food and drink.
  • Salaam Namaste @ Malika Pakistani Chai Canteen will showcase an educational and collaborative dinner by Maryam Ghaznavi and TV personality + chef Maneet Chauhan that explores the subcontinent and experience of Pakistani and Indian cuisine.
  • A new bar takeover series featuring guest bars Leyenda, 67 Orange, and Serenata at local bars Doar Bros., Bar George, and Bar Mash. These happy hour experiences will include three cocktails and complimentary bites.
  • Power to the Pastry will feature acclaimed pastry chef and founder of Bakers Against Racism, Paola Velez at babas on meeting for an empowering breakfast experience.
  • Signature Event Side Hustle will shine a light on BBQ restaurants and the emphasis they are placing on their sides.
  • Street Eats will embody the feel of an international Asian Street Market and features the Lowcountry’s burgeoning Asian food community.
  • Gospel Brunch is back on the menu in ‘22 and will take place at a City park at the footsteps of the forthcoming International African American Museum. The event will showcase food by Carlos Brown and music by Spiritually Yours.

All Charleston Wine + Food events are sold à la carte with the exception of The CV Pass, which is a new ticketing option to the festival this year. It provides an all-access opportunity for super fans to celebrate the return of togetherness with special access, unique takeaways, and a value option for multiple ticketed events.

The festival will also introduce free programming in 2022, details of which will be announced in the coming months.
