Motherland Essentials Hosts Halloween Lane at Summerville Warehouse
On Sunday, August 9th 2020, local best selling soapmaker Andrea Davis pressed go on the $15,000 kickstarter to help move her business, Motherland Essentials, into a new space. By September, the project was fully funded and Davis became the owner/operator of the first Black owned soap manufacturing warehouse in Summerville.
In the year since then, they’ve hosted several soap making classes, Saturday shopping days, and offered local picks, and now for the Halloween season they’ve teamed up with other businesses in their complex to host the inaugural Halloween Lane. Shoppers will be able to get their hands on limited edition items, enjoy light snacks and refreshments, and leave with treats for themselves or their little ones. Businesses include Sassy Shortcake Boutique and Recharge Nutrition.
Motherland Essentials is planning to open their retail space as a sustainable refill station during the holiday season, and shoppers at Halloween Lane will be the first to experience what they have to offer.
Halloween Lane will take place at their warehouse on Thursday, October 28th, 2021 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Their address is 405 N Maple St, Suite B1, in Summerville.
