Females on Fire, A Charleston Culinary Group, Launches
“Females on Fire has a three-prong purpose of unifying women in the industry, creating a path for young women wanting to enter the industry, and bringing resources like funding, business opportunities and educational experiences to others,” said Buckley. “We had a great turnout of around a dozen female powerhouses show up to our first event, and we are beyond excited to see what we can accomplish together.”
Karalee Fallert, owner of All Good Industries, (which encompasses Taco Boy, Wiki Wiki Sandbar, Park & Grove and The Royal American), was one of the first women restaurant owners to become established in Charleston, and is thrilled to finally see a group like this being formed.
“It’s tough to get to know other women in the local F+B industry, as many of us are business owners and mom’s with little free time on our ends,” she said. “I’m really looking forward to having a new network through Females on Fire to bounce ideas off of, ask questions, and collaborate with!”
If interested in being a member of Females on Fire, email Charlotte Berger of CharlotteBergerPR at Charlottepberger@gmail.com and she can send you an invite to their next event on November 17th.
