Holiday Festival of Lights Announces Winners of Annual Giant Greeting Card Competition

The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) today announced the awards for the Holiday Festival of Lights’ annual Giant Greeting Card Competition. All entries in this school art competition are on display during the event, which runs nightly through December 31st at James Island County Park.

This year, the Giant Greeting Card Competition has 28 entries on display from Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester County student groups in elementary, middle, and high school divisions. The winning top three schools in each division received a trophy and cash award to use for their school arts program. Entries are on display in Santa’s Village.

Elementary School Division:

1^st Place: Harbor View Elementary School

2^nd Place: James Island Elementary School

3^rd Place: Live Oak Little School

Middle School Division:

1^st Place: Summerville Catholic School

2^nd Place: Camp Road Middle School

3^rd Place: Charleston Christian School

High School Division:

1^st Place: First Baptist School (pictured)

2^nd Place: North Charleston High School-Art Dept.

3^rd Place: Crown Leadership Academy
