Lights Up at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is Back Live and In Person This Year
It’s once again the holiday season and Mount Pleasant Towne Centre will ring in the holidays with its biggest event, Lights Up, live and in person again this season. On Friday, November 20th at 6 pm, Belk Drive will shine bright with a laser light show, plenty of activities, and the lighting of the 40-foot Christmas tree.
The evening will also include live performances by East Cooper Baptist Church Choir & Orchestra and Gravel Road, a bluegrass band with a modern twist. The event will be hosted by Brian Cleary of 92.5 Kickin’ Country, and guests have the chance to win prizes from a variety of participating stores.
Throughout the Towne Centre, guests can stop and pose for a holiday-themed photo in front of the fluorescent 22-foot reindeer located by Barnes and Noble and the life-size “JOY” sign located by the main fountain. All ages are welcome and children can wave to Santa himself, while enjoying face painting, balloon animals, glitter tattoos, and more. Sips and bites will also be available for purchase throughout the evening.
Camp Rise Above, an organization that provides life-changing camp experiences to children with serious illnesses, disabilities and challenges; will be onsite selling Christmas tree wands and Christmas bulb necklaces so all guests can shine alongside the giant tree. All proceeds will directly benefit Camp Rise Above, who creates customizable programs that teach campers to overcome obstacles and grow in their confidence and capabilities.
