Colleton Medical Center Announces New Patient Visitation Guidelines
Colleton Medical Center today announced a change to the patient visitation guidelines ahead of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Beginning, Monday, November 22nd, patient visitation hours will be 6:30 am to 8 pm, Monday – Friday, and 8 am to 8 pm, on weekends and holidays.
During the above-mentioned times non-COVID-19 patients may have two visitors. Virtual visitations will remain available for COVID-19 patients. Visitors must check-in at the Main Entrance and wear a mask at all times while inside the facility.
Special arrangements will be made on a case-by-case basis for End of Life visitations.
Labor and Delivery patients may have one visitor during delivery and two visitors during normal visitation hours, otherwise.
Individuals receiving outpatient care may be accompanied by two visitors during their care.
Visitation hours for Behavioral Health patients will be 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm and 6 pm to 6:30 pm, Monday – Friday, and 10 am to 11 am and 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm on weekends. All Behavioral Health visitors must provide the patient’s name and corresponding 4-digit code.
Emergency Department patients may have two visitors throughout their stay in the Emergency Department. If the patient is admitted, visitors should follow the above mentioned visitation guidelines.
Colleton Medical Center CEO, Jimmy Hiott said, “We are thankful that our COVID-19 cases have decreased to a point that we can safely extend our visitation policy.” Hiott added, “Our ability to maintain the extended hours is contingent on maintaining a low number of COVID-19 cases. Should we see a rise in COVID-19 cases Colleton Medical Center will revert back to the COVID-19 visitation policy for the safety of our patients and staff.”
