Every 1 Voice Matters Shares Warmth One Coat At a Time
Every 1 Voice Matters will hold its 4th Annual Christmas Charity Coat Drive from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Community Resource Center (3947 Whipper Barony Lane, North Charleston) on Saturday, December 18th.
The nonprofit’s overall mission is to improve the quality of life for children and their families. Every 1 Voice Matters has set out to give away over 500 coats to kids in the low to moderate income areas of Charleston this holiday season. Community leaders such as Calvin King Jenkins and organizations like Acts of Kindness, USA are joining in on this effort.
“Last year our coat drive resulted in car lines wrapped around the street corner and coats were gone in the matter of an hour,” said Founder Sherrika Myers. “This year we want to make an even larger impact to reach as many kids as we can because our community matters.”
