Charleston County Treasurer’s Office and Auditor’s Office Extend Business Hours
The Charleston County Treasurer’s Office and Auditor’s Office located at the Public Services Building at 4045 Bridge View Drive will be open Saturday, January 8 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. to process walk-in tax payments. Property tax payments are due to the Treasurer’s Office by January 18, 2022.
“Our goal in opening up Saturday hours is to add another convenience for residents who normally work during the week and prefer to pay their taxes in-person,” said Treasurer Mary Tinkler. “It also allows my staff extra time to process payments. We are, however, encouraging residents to pay online or by phone due to the increase in COVID-19 cases. If you do choose to come into our office, we kindly ask that you wear a face covering.”
“We’re happy to provide another opportunity for tax-payers to get questions answered about their tax bills so that payments can be made to the Treasurer’s Office on time,” said Charleston County Auditor Peter Tecklenburg.
Tax bills can be paid online, via phone, by mail and in person at any of Charleston County’s Service Center locations.
