eBooks, audiobooks on OverDrive moving to BCLS’s Libby App
Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) customers can browse, borrow and enjoy even more ebooks and audiobooks through the award-winning Libby reading app as the OverDrive app will be removed from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Microsoft Store on February 23, 2022 to migrate to Libby.
Customers already enjoying the Libby app will experience no change, other than even more great titles available through BCLS’s digital collection. With a valid library card, BCLS members can borrow from the library’s digital collection by visiting BCLS’s e-books & e-audiobooks and downloading Libby.
New users looking for the OverDrive app will be directed to Libby. Users who previously installed the OverDrive app (mobile or desktop) will still be able to use it without disruption.
Ebooks and audiobooks checked out in the OverDrive app will be available through the remainder of the lending period, so readers can finish the title without disruption.
Readers may browse BCLS’s digital collection, instantly borrow titles and start reading or listening for free with a valid library card. This service is compatible with all major computers and devices, iPhone, iPad, Android phones, tablets and Chromebook. All titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period and there are no late fees.
Readers can also download titles onto Libby for offline access.
To get started enjoying ebooks, audiobooks and more, visit BCLS’s e-books & e-audiobooks and download Libby today.
