Rodney Scott Guests on ESPN’S “NFL Live”
South Carolina pitmaster and James Beard-award winner Rodney Scott recently appeared on ESPN’s NFL Live to share his signature BBQ with the show’s hosts. Scott has partnered with the sports network to promote ESPN’s Postseasoning (right), a spice blend “created specifically for football fans.”
According to Southern Living, the new seasoning features a blend of salt, garlic, paprika, black pepper, cayenne, and gochugara (Korean red chili flakes). ESPN enlisted Scott to create special recipes featuring Postseasoning. The founder of Rodney Scott’s BBQ developed four recipes: MVP (Most Valuable Pimento), Taters Gonna Tate Potato Salad, Hail-Mary Deviled Eggs, and Rodney Scott’s Victory Rack of Ribs. You can see the recipes here. More than 10,000 bottles of Postseasoning will be given to fans at select playoff games this football season, but unfortunately, it is not available for purchase in stores.
Rodney Scott’s BBQ is located at 1011 King Street in downtown Charleston.
