Moe’s Southwest Grill on King Street Has Reportedly Closed
Local independent journalist Quintin Washington (of “Quintin’s Close-Ups”) is reporting that the Moe’s Southwest Grill at 381 King Street has closed.
Washington on Sunday afternoon tweeted that he saw a Moe’s employee loading equipment into a truck at King and Calhoun and when Washington asked them what was happening, they told him that “they are permanently closed.”
According to the Post & Courier, the space will become a Refuel convenience store, but not a gas station.
Moe’s Southwest Grill still has several open locations in the area – Mt. Pleasant (612 Long Point Rd. and 900 Houston Northcutt Blvd.), North Charleston (4948 Centre Point Drive and 7800 Rivers Ave.), West Ashley (1812 Sam Rittenberg Blvd.), Westcott (9514 Dorchester Road), and Summerville (214 Azalea Square Blvd).

I just saw a Moe’s downtown employee loading equipment into a truck at King and Calhoun.
I asked the employee what’s going on. He told me that “they are permanently closed.”
