ACE Preferred Inspections, Inc. Sponsors Whole House Build at East Cooper Habitat for Humanity
East Cooper Habitat for Humanity recently broke ground on their next two homes, one of which is fully sponsored by local home inspection company, ACE Preferred Inspections, Inc.
Owned by Jeffrey Donaldson, current East Cooper Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors President, Jeff shared the motivation behind this exceptionally generous donation, “Professionally, ACE helps people buy houses every day. Housing is one of our most basic needs and many people take their homes for granted. We are always thrilled to be a part of East Cooper Habitat for Humanity’s efforts to create affordable housing; sponsoring the ACE East Cooper Habitat house is another way of showing how important the program is to us. We look forward to helping build the house and seeing Patrice and her family have a safe, comfortable place to call home.”
This 79th East Cooper Habitat for Humanity home will be located at 3806 Garden Hill Road in Mount Pleasant and will have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large front porch as well as a storage shed. Some of the interior features will include custom tile showers, energy efficient Whirlpool appliances, LED lighting and a Nest system. The property has large front and back yards where the selected partner family, which includes three children, plans on making a lot of wonderful outdoor memories together.
Future homeowner, Ms. Patrice Green was selected as a partner family in May 2020 and was thrilled to be present at her home’s groundbreaking ceremony in November. She recently shared her feelings on this life-changing process, “Words cannot explain how we are feeling. Recently, I had the chance to visit our future home site and seeing the foundation made reality set in. My children and I thank God and you for the generous gift you have given us through ACE Preferred Inspections. We pray that God continues to bless you and people like you. We are excited, happy and blessed to have a place we can call HOME. Again, thank you for your generous donations – I pray one day I will be able to make someone happy and place a smile on their face as you have done and are doing for my children and I.”
As part of the East Cooper Habitat for Humanity homeownership process, Ms. Green will complete sweat equity hours building her home, her neighbor’s new home and at the East Cooper Home Store. She will also go through the process to secure and pay an affordable mortgage and close on her home later this year.
“We couldn’t be happier to partner with ACE Preferred Inspections, Inc. as a whole house sponsor on Garden Hill Road. Having a mission-driven partner who understands the value of homeownership allows us to further our goals to provide safe and affordable housing to families in our community who need it the most. Jeff has been a part of the East Cooper Habitat family for over five years and we’re beyond grateful for his kindness, dedication and advocacy efforts to our organization and the East Cooper community.” Bob Hervey, East Cooper Habitat’s Executive Director shared.
On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, Jeff and the ACE Preferred Inspections, Inc. team will be building the walls for the Green family home. Ms. Green will be joining them and East Cooper Habitat will have a wall raising ceremony at Noon.
