Wild Dunes Resort Announces New Artist in Residence at The Gallery at Sweetgrass
Press Release
Wild Dunes Resort, a Destination Hotel located on Isle of Palms in South Carolina’s Lowcountry, is pleased to announce Fallon as the new artist in residence at The Gallery at Sweetgrass. Fallon, a Charleston-based painter, has had her art on display at The Gallery at Sweetgrass since its opening in May 2021 and will be the second artist in residence.
“The artist in residence series is a program we are very proud to offer at The Gallery at Sweetgrass and we couldn’t be happier to host Fallon to kick off the new year,” says Gallery Manager, Cynthia Miles. “Admirers of Fallon can often find her outside near the Lowcountry’s marshes and beaches, so Wild Dunes Resort is the perfect setting for her to draw new inspiration.”
Fallon specializes in oil paintings of landscapes and still life. Fallon is the founder and program director for Field & Flow, a plein air painting retreat, which brings together artists for oil instruction and community building, and she is also a member of the American Impressionist Society and American Women Artists. Her work hangs in various private collections across the state, and she recently obtained her first corporate collector, MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. Fallon’s studio is located just north of Shem Creek in Mt Pleasant.
The Gallery at Sweetgrass will host a Fallon and Friends reception on Saturday, February 26th from 5:00-7:00 p.m., and welcomes all to visit Fallon during her weekly studio hours starting in February. Additional information and images of Fallon’s work can be found on The Gallery at Sweetgrass’ website, TheGalleryAtSweetgrass.com.
