South Carolina Historical Society Museum and the Gibbes Museum of Art Launch Joint Ticket

The South Carolina Historical Society Museum (SCHS) and the Gibbes Museum of Art (right) today announced the launch of “The Good Neighbor Pass,” a joint ticket that grants access to both museums from February 1st through April 30th.  

“We’re thrilled to offer our first ever joint ticket with the Gibbes Museum of Art,” said Faye L. Jensen, Ph. D., Executive Director of the SCHS. “As neighboring museums on Meeting Street, this pass will give  guests the opportunity to enjoy two pillars of the Charleston experience – history and art. For just one price, patrons can explore more than 350 years of history at The South Carolina Historical Society Museum, and then walk down the street to enjoy one of the most vibrant collections of art in the South.” 

“We strive to make the museum accessible for people of every background,” said Angela Mack, Executive Director of the Gibbes Museum of Art. “We are elated to partner with our neighbor, the South Carolina Historical Society Museum, to provide more access to our foremost collection of American Art. Guests who take advantage of the pass will discover our permanent collection as well as our notable spring special exhibitions, Fighters for Freedom: William H. Johnson Picturing Justice and A  New Deal: Artists at Work.” 

Pricing for The Good Neighbor Pass will be $20 for adults and $18 for seniors and military. Tickets can be redeemed at both institutions on days that both are open to the public.

The South Carolina Historical Society Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. The Gibbes  Museum of Art is open Monday through Saturday 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays 1 pm to 5 pm.
