Dave Matthews Band to Play Back-to-Back Nights on Daniel Island this June
The Dave Matthews Band (DMB), one of the most popular and successful touring acts in the country, will perform on back-to-back nights this summer at the newly-renovated Credit One Stadium, formerly the Volvo Car Stadium. The Grammy-winning band will perform at the Daniel Island venue on Friday, June 3rd and Saturday, June 4th. Tickets go on sale to the general public on February 25th at 10 am.
This will be the band’s first show in South Carolina since July of 2016 when they played at the North Charleston Coliseum. However, frontman Dave Matthews and guitarist Tim Reynolds played a two-man acoustic show at Credit One Stadium back in April of 2019.
DMB has sold more than 25 million concert tickets since its inception and has also sold over 38 million CDs and DVDs combined. It is the first group in history to have seven consecutive studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. DMB won the 1996 Grammy Award for Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group for “So Much to Say.”
The band’s 1994 major label debut album, Under the Table and Dreaming, was certified platinum six times. Their next six albums also went platinum (or better) – Crash (7× Platinum), Before These Crowded Streets (4×), Everyday (3x), Busted Stuff (2x), Stand Up (1x), and Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King (1x). They’ve also had an impressive six live albums go platinum or better.
DMB consists of Matthews, drummer Carter Beauford, bassist Stefan Lessard, guitarist Reynolds, trumpeter Rashawn Ross, saxophonist Jeff Coffin, and keyboardist Buddy Strong.
