Online events that you might not have known about

It is a fact that the events world has had to venture online due to the pandemic. However, this does not have to be a bad thing as until live events are a reality again it has opened many doors for audiences to be a part of any performance that they might not have been able to view previously, and it has given the performers a chance to get to know other fans that they may otherwise have never really had a connection with before due to location.

Online book launches

With the world changing due to the pandemic, there has been a switch in how some events now take place. The days of authors turning up at a bookstore to carry out live book signing seem very much to be a thing of the past. However, that said, there may be a time when the authors are out and about meeting their biggest fans face-to-face once again.

In the meantime, though, many of the well-known authors are carrying out online book launches. These tend to be pre-booked. Should you wish to ‘attend’ one of these exclusive events, you will have to book your place, and you will be given a time and access code so that you can be a part of the reading and listen to the interview that takes place regarding the new release.

Keeping up to date with your local community

Of course, it is vitally important to be able to keep up to date with your local community so that you know exactly what is going on as well as being able to rely on the support from those around you and offer your support when it is needed most by others.

Indeed, most communities would say that their church is at the heart of what they do, but with the pandemic still going strong or with so many people living away from home either due to work, college or university studies, being able to connect with your church may not be the easiest thing in the world. However, with live stream services for churches, you could feel that you are there where you belong amongst others that share your beliefs and are part of your community. With live streaming, you will also be able to keep the same routines that you had when you were out within your own local community and so bring a bit of normality back into your life.

Online DJ sets

If you have a favorite DJ and feel that you are missing out on a big part of your pre-pandemic life, there is always the option of attending Zoom parties featuring a DJ set by your favorite one. Being able to listen to new performances by your favorite DJs is something that really should not be missed.

If you are not a big fan of Zoom (and plenty of people aren’t) there are videos and tutorials on YouTube showing what you will need to do in order to have the correct software and equipment to attend and get the most out of an online DJ set.
