BCLS Highlights Resources for Veterans and Military Families
Berkeley County Library System continues to provide free resources for veterans and military families in need of assistance with newspapers, computers, microfilm/fiche reader, and veteran advocacy. The four resources BCLS provides are as follows:
- Navy Times Subscription – Located in the magazine/newspaper collection at the Goose Creek Library. The current month and previous two months are available.
- CAC (Common Access Card) Reader and Workstations – Access secure Department of Defense (DoD) network and data.
- Microfilm/fiche Reader – Allows the ability to view and print medical records or other documents on microfilm/fiche located at the Moncks Corner Library
- Berkeley County Veterans Affairs – BCLS refers veterans needing assistance with benefits and entitlement questions to this office located at 212 Oakley Plantation Drive in Moncks Corner, the site of the Berkeley County Water and Sanitation building. The office operates on an appointment basis. Monday – Friday from 9 am to 5 pm
