Inaugural Romancecon “Lust in the Lowcountry” Heats Up Charleston This June
Charleston’s first “Romancecon,” Lust in the Lowcountry, a two-day event featuring readers, writers, and all things romance, will take place on June 10th and 11th, 2022, at Society Hall (72 Meeting Street). This event is for aspiring romance writers and authors, romance novel fans, and anyone with interest in learning about the romance industry.
This first-of-its-kind event is the brainchild of Suzie Webster of Two Fish Enterprises. Webster describes herself as, “A gypsy, storyteller, relentless dreamer, foodie, happy wife, and mom of three.” If her name sounds familiar in the Lowcountry, it should as Webster is a successful event director and author that has been a part of the Lowcountry event scene for more than two decades. As creator and event director for Charleston Green Fair, Webster and her husband, Drew Franyo, created the first event and fair to feature sustainable living options and eco-friendly vendors for eight years. As she turned 49, she started writing romance novels set in the Lowcountry that highlight a variety of relationships.
Here’s a look at Lust in the Lowcountry’s inaugural schedule:
